Optical Technician Overview

Join a fast-growing company in the Photonics and space technology sector as an Optical Technician. This role involves working on the assembly, integration, and testing of laser communication systems, contributing to the production and deployment of optical ground stations.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, integrate, and test complex optical and optomechanical subsystems.
• Support system-level integration and verification of optical ground station products.
• Perform precision optical alignment and troubleshoot optical assemblies.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance test equipment and ground support equipment.
• Manage component procurement, supplier coordination, and incoming inspection activities.
• Maintain inventory and ensure the availability of materials and components.
• Produce and maintain manufacturing documentation and controlled build procedures.
• Assist with customer deployments, installation activities, and field maintenance as needed.

Requirements

• Experience in optical assembly, integration, and testing environments.
• Hands-on experience in building and testing complex optical systems.
• Strong skills in optical laboratory work and troubleshooting.
• Ability to work independently within multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent attention to detail and a quality-focused approach.
• Willingness to travel internationally for customer and deployment activities.
