You will receive full support as you transition from student to registered nurse, working alongside experienced nursing and healthcare professionals dedicated to helping you enhance your clinical skills and confidence in practice. We offer a comprehensive 12-month Preceptorship Programme designed to facilitate your development and professional growth. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to undertake a Level 7 Preceptorship Module at the University of Gloucestershire, providing a solid foundation for both academic and career progression.

Main Duties of the Job
- Assess patient conditions and develop care plans within a multidisciplinary team.
- Communicate effectively, especially when patients may struggle to do so.
- Handle sensitive information with care.
- Deliver safe care in a dynamic clinical environment.
- Administer medications and treatments according to guidelines.
- Provide and receive information that may cause emotional distress.
- Participate in mentorship and educational programs.
- Adhere to Trust policies and professional conduct.
- Supervise and mentor unqualified staff and students.
- Manage patient and staff information using computer systems.
Qualifications and Experience
- Active NMC Registration or pending registration if currently a student.
- Proof of qualifying as a Registered Nurse in 2026 from a local university (UOG, UWE, or UOW).
- Evidence of clinical placements at Gloucestershire Hospitals Trust.
- Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Understanding and application of Trust values and behaviors.
- Participation in audits or quality improvement is desirable.
- Enthusiasm for a specific area of nursing.
