Fractile is seeking a Manufacturing Operations Technical Programme Manager for Silicon and Packaging to join their team in Bristol. This role is crucial in managing the silicon production, packaging design, and delivery processes in collaboration with contract manufacturers. Reporting to the Director of Programmes, the successful candidate will serve as the primary liaison between Fractile, the foundry, OSAT partners, and the internal operations team, ensuring that all technical milestones, schedules, risks, and transitions are effectively managed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the complete project plan from the production of wafers to the delivery of packaged silicon.
  • Coordinate daily activities with foundries, OSATs, packaging suppliers, logistics, and contract manufacturers.
  • Monitor milestones related to wafer starts, fabrication progress, packaging, assembly, final testing, qualification, and shipment.
  • Manage risks, dependencies, schedule modifications, and prompt issue resolution by collaborating closely with team leads and program managers for silicon, hardware systems, and hardware testing, both internally and with external partners and suppliers.
  • Ensure that all manufacturing documentation, testing requirements, quality standards, and build readiness materials are finalized.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI), prototype builds, qualification processes, and production ramp-up.
  • Lead program reviews for manufacturing operations to identify risks early and contribute to overall program portfolio evaluations.
  • Assist in developing scalable program management practices across Fractile, focusing on planning, forecasting, reporting, risk management, and change control.
  • Adapt proven methodologies from previous experiences to fit the unique pace and constraints of Fractile’s development stage.
  • Help establish consistent tools, templates, and review schedules across silicon, hardware, manufacturing, and software workflows.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in technical project management, operations, supply chain, or program management within the semiconductor or complex hardware sectors.
  • Experience collaborating with foundries, OSATs, packaging suppliers, or contract manufacturers.
  • Strong knowledge of semiconductor production and packaging processes.
  • Ability to manage intricate schedules, multiple stakeholders, technical dependencies, supplier risks, and cross-functional execution.
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Linear, Asana, Smartsheet, MS Project, or PLM systems.
  • Experience in a rapidly growing organization, building processes concurrently.
  • Experience in advanced packaging, high-performance computing, chiplets, 2.5D/3D integration, or HBM-based packages is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of silicon bring-up, NPI, qualification, yield tracking, and production ramp-up is beneficial.
  • Experience working with Asian semiconductor supply chains and partners is a plus.
  • Highly organized with strong prioritization skills.
  • Structured thinker with a strong focus on risk management.
  • Effective communicator capable of engaging confidently with both engineers and executives.
