As a Manager in Cyber Security, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the Cyber Security Engineering team. Your responsibilities will include managing daily operations, enhancing team capabilities, and ensuring effective incident response. You will lead the team in developing secure solutions and improving operational processes while collaborating with various departments to achieve security objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operational activities of the Cyber Security Engineering team.
• Enhance team capacity by refining planning, prioritization, delegation, and delivery methods.
• Develop and advance team skills in incident response, detection engineering, automation, and security operations.
• Lead, mentor, and support team members within the Cyber Security Engineering unit.
• Manage and improve incident response processes, including the creation and implementation of incident response playbooks.
• Coordinate incident response efforts across various teams.
• Provide technical and operational guidance in evaluating system design, changes, and operational risks.
• Participate in and enhance the team’s weekly on-call rotation, focusing on escalation, response quality, handover, and operational readiness.
• Design, develop, and implement engineered security solutions that are reliable, maintainable, and scalable.
• Guide detection engineering initiatives across enterprise and SaaS environments.
• Identify operational deficiencies, risks, and areas needing security enhancements, translating them into actionable solutions.
• Align the team’s operational priorities with the broader Cyber Security Engineering vision, roadmap, and strategy.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the delivery of roadmap items, projects, and security enhancements.
• Work with engineering, infrastructure, product, and operations teams to improve security outcomes across the organization.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in leading or managing security operations, security engineering, incident response, or technical operations teams.
• Strong operational delivery background, including skills in prioritization, planning, delegation, and continuous improvement.
• Experience in building team capacity and enhancing operational processes within a security function.
• Required incident response experience, particularly in coordinating complex incidents involving multiple teams.
• Familiarity with automation tools in Security Orchestration and Automation, as well as custom scripting.
• Experience with Security Information and Event Management systems, preferably Google Chronicle and YARA-L.
• Solid understanding of cloud environments, ideally AWS and GCP.
• Experience with container technologies, specifically Kubernetes and Docker, in both development and incident response contexts.
• Experience deploying, operating, or utilizing Endpoint Detection and Response tools.
• Ability to lead cross-functional projects and influence teams beyond direct reporting lines.
• Strong communication skills for conveying operational priorities, technical risks, and delivery trade-offs to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated sound judgment, ownership, and decision-making capabilities during security incidents and operational escalations.
• Participation in the team’s on-call rotation is a requirement for this position.
