At Capgemini Invent, we believe that diversity drives change. As inventive transformation consultants, we combine our strategic, creative, and scientific capabilities to work closely with clients, delivering innovative solutions that address their challenges today and in the future. Our approach is informed by science and data, enhanced by creativity and design, and supported by technology designed with purpose.
As a Sustainability Consultant, you will assist clients in understanding, assessing, and responding to the impacts of climate change on their technology, digital services, operations, supply chains, and critical business functions. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading client engagements alongside Capgemini Invent and other Capgemini colleagues to implement sustainability strategies and frameworks, while identifying broader opportunities to create value for clients.
- Assessing clients’ exposure to climate-related risks, enhancing business continuity and operational resilience, and integrating climate resilience into transformation programs.
- Creating measurable business, sustainability, and resilience outcomes through a ‘Resilient by Design’ approach.
- Acting as a leader in our sustainability community, proactively introducing new ideas, approaches, or innovative startups to the broader team.
- Championing the client value of sustainability across Capgemini and training teams, account executives, and leaders on the importance of climate resilience and adaptation.
In addition to these responsibilities, you will have opportunities for personal growth through activities in business development, internal contributions, and learning and development. This includes leading or contributing to proposals, RFPs, and client pitches, as well as participating in internal campaigns and think-tanks.
Your profile should ideally include an educational background in Climate Science or related disciplines, along with experience in sustainability, climate risk, resilience, ESG, or operational resilience consulting. You should possess a solid understanding of climate adaptation and physical climate risks, and be familiar with climate risk and resilience across sectors such as Energy, Financial Services, and the Public Sector. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to manage complex consulting engagements and stakeholder relationships.
Optional qualifications include a passion for sustainability, experience with climate risk modeling, and knowledge of business continuity and operational resilience. Familiarity with climate-related reporting frameworks and experience in sectors like government, financial services, and healthcare will also be advantageous.
What you will love about working here is our dedicated sustainability team, which focuses on accelerating the value generated through sustainability initiatives. Our team is energetic and supportive, and you will have ample opportunities to learn from experts in climate science. We encourage intrapreneurship, so if you have innovative ideas, you will find support in shaping our practices.
