Lead AI Engineer Overview

We are looking for a Lead AI Engineer who will be responsible for designing, building, and operationalizing advanced AI, Machine Learning, and Generative AI systems at an enterprise level. This role focuses on bridging the gap between AI prototypes and the integration of data and AI solutions into business operations. The successful candidate will ensure that AI solutions are scaled responsibly and effectively, transitioning from lab environments to live applications while maximizing business value.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement comprehensive AI and Machine Learning systems, overseeing the entire process from data preparation to model deployment and monitoring.
• Utilize advanced Generative AI and Agentic Frameworks, including ADK, Langgraph, Microsoft Agent Framework, and Llamaindex to deliver innovative solutions.
• Translate AI use case requirements into effective data and AI architectures, leveraging appropriate cloud services from major providers.
• Lead cross-functional teams to fulfill complex project requirements and ensure successful execution.
• Architect and deploy Generative AI solutions, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines and workflows involving large language models across cloud platforms like Azure, GCP, or AWS.
• Incorporate safety and evaluation mechanisms throughout the AI lifecycle to ensure ethical and responsible solutions.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Data Scientists, and business stakeholders to ensure AI solutions deliver tangible business value.
• Engage in business development activities by creating client-ready demonstrations and supporting technical proposals.
• Contribute to internal initiatives by developing reusable assets and frameworks that enhance delivery efficiency and support capability growth.
• Participate in thought leadership and knowledge sharing on emerging AI engineering topics.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a major consulting firm or industry, demonstrating a consulting mindset and the ability to navigate a matrixed organization.
• Experience collaborating with both technical and non-technical client sponsors to design and implement solutions.
• Demonstrated expertise in developing and executing MLOps strategies and frameworks, with a successful track record of delivering AI/ML solutions at scale.
• Strong knowledge of Generative AI and Agentic AI concepts, including RAG pipelines and orchestration frameworks.
• Experience in designing cloud-native data and AI architectures utilizing platforms such as Azure, GCP, AWS, or Databricks.
• Ability to showcase how scaling AI can unlock business value and impact.
• Technical proficiency in deploying and scaling AI solutions on major cloud platforms.
• Experience in building and automating AI/ML pipelines using tools like MLflow, Kubeflow, and Azure ML.
• Hands-on experience with Generative and Agentic AI frameworks, such as LangChain and LlamaIndex.
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
