Lead AI Engineer Overview

We are looking for a Lead AI Engineer who will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and operationalizing advanced AI, Machine Learning, and Generative AI systems at an enterprise level. This position focuses on bridging the gap between AI prototypes and the integration of data and AI solutions into business operations. The successful candidate will ensure that AI solutions are scaled responsibly and effectively, transitioning from lab environments to live applications while maximizing business value.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement comprehensive AI and machine learning systems, overseeing the entire process from data preparation to model deployment and monitoring.
• Deliver solutions utilizing cutting-edge Generative AI and Agentic Frameworks, including ADK, Langgraph, Microsoft Agent Framework, and Llamaindex.
• Translate AI use case requirements into effective data and AI architectures, leveraging appropriate cloud services from major providers.
• Lead cross-functional teams to fulfill complex project requirements and ensure successful execution.
• Architect and deploy Generative AI solutions, including RAG pipelines and orchestration of large language models across cloud platforms like Azure, GCP, or AWS.
• Integrate safety, evaluation, and assurance mechanisms throughout the AI lifecycle to ensure ethical and responsible solutions.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Data Scientists, and Business stakeholders to ensure AI solutions deliver tangible business value.
• Engage in business development activities, such as creating client-ready demonstrations and supporting technical proposals.
• Contribute to internal initiatives by developing reusable assets and frameworks to enhance delivery across projects.
• Participate in thought leadership and capability development in emerging AI engineering topics.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a major consulting firm or industry, demonstrating a consulting mindset and success in a matrixed organization.
• Ability to work collaboratively with both technical and non-technical client sponsors to design and implement solutions.
• Experience in developing and executing MLOps strategies and frameworks, with a track record of delivering AI/ML solutions at scale.
• In-depth knowledge of Generative AI and Agentic AI, including RAG pipelines and orchestration frameworks.
• Experience in designing cloud-native data and AI architectures using platforms such as Azure, GCP, AWS, or Databricks.
• Demonstrated ability to showcase how scaling AI can unlock business value.
• Technical expertise in deploying AI solutions on major cloud platforms and building automated AI/ML pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with Generative and Agentic AI frameworks and proficiency in CI/CD and containerization tools.
