Join a dedicated team at Ty Llidiard, a 15-bedded tier 4 General Adolescent Mental Health Unit, where you will play a crucial role in supporting young individuals aged 12 to 18 facing psychiatric disorders. As a Highly Specialist CAMHS Occupational Therapist, you will be part of a multi-disciplinary team focused on delivering high-quality care and treatment.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a new Occupational Therapy Team within Ty Llidiard, ensuring the provision of evidence-based, occupationally focused assessments and interventions. You will work alongside a Band 7 Lead Occupational Therapist and two part-time Band 4 Assistant Occupational Therapy Practitioners.
Main Duties
- Collaborate with a skilled multi-disciplinary team to provide comprehensive care for young patients.
- Support recovery by helping service users achieve optimal occupational performance and balance in their daily lives.
- Implement environmental and sensory adaptation strategies to enhance patient engagement.
- Conduct evidence-based assessments to inform intervention plans and identify patient strengths.
- Facilitate both individual and group interventions within the unit and the community.
Qualifications and Experience
- Essential: Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
- Essential: Postgraduate training or accreditation in fieldwork education.
- Essential: Evidence of graduate clinical experience relevant to the role.
- Desirable: Membership of a professional body.
- Desirable: Welsh language skills at Level 3 or above (B1 for adult learners).
