This position involves working as a High Risk Podiatrist within Powys Teaching Health Board, where you will join an established team dedicated to managing high-risk patients and providing specialized wound care. The role offers opportunities for professional growth, including support for obtaining an independent prescribing qualification if you do not already possess one.

Your responsibilities will include overseeing the daily operations of the wound care service, focusing on patients with diabetic foot complications, and performing advanced wound care and casting techniques. You will also supervise junior team members, students, and other support staff, ensuring that patients are empowered to make informed choices about their health management.

The health board has made significant investments in leadership and innovative practices, adapting to the evolving healthcare needs of the Powys region. This role is full-time, but part-time applicants and job shares will be considered. The position may require travel throughout Powys, and proficiency in Welsh is welcomed but not mandatory, as training will be provided.

To qualify for this role, you must have a Diploma or Degree in Podiatry, advanced accredited training at the Master’s level or equivalent, and current HCPC registration. Significant postgraduate experience in a relevant specialty, including managing complex caseloads and working in multi-agency teams, is essential. Leadership experience, clinical governance knowledge, and the ability to maintain accurate clinical records are also required.

The salary for this position ranges from £50,129 to £57,365 per annum, with pro-rata adjustments for part-time roles.
