Role Overview
As a Graduate Software Engineer, you will be responsible for creating innovative software solutions and ensuring their successful implementation. You will work on complex, real-time systems and develop safety-critical and mission-critical software.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop software solutions throughout the product lifecycle, from concept and design to delivery and maintenance.
- Evaluate and review system requirements, focusing on both high-level and low-level software design.
- Implement software by updating existing code, developing new code, and merging updates into new baselines.
- Conduct software unit and integration testing using white-box testing methods.
- Perform hardware/software qualification testing through black-box testing techniques.
- Manage software certification processes, including documentation, defect investigation, and resolution.
Team Context
The Air Team at BAE Systems has a rich history in developing, manufacturing, upgrading, and supporting world-class combat and fast jet trainer aircraft. Our projects include renowned aircraft such as Typhoon, F-35, and Tempest, with operations spanning the globe.
Qualifications
To qualify for this role, you must have obtained or be predicted to obtain at least a 2:2 Bachelorâs degree or a pass at Masterâs level in relevant fields such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Software Development, Electronic Engineering, or a related subject.
