General Practitioner Overview

We are currently seeking a General Practitioner to join a busy and well-regarded clinic in St Albans. The ideal candidate must have Medical Graduate degree (MBBS or MBChB or equivalent) along with AMC 1 and PESCI and/ or any post graduate GP qualification completed and a valid registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). No less than 1-year employment experience is also required for the position. Main Road Medical Centre, is a very busy long-established bulk-billing medical clinic in St Albans. Medical graduates who require a distribution priority area (DPA) position to work in the metropolitan area, have the golden opportunity to apply. St Albans is one of the very few suburbs in Melbourne which has been given back a distribution priority area (DPA) status in July 2021, due to an increase in population in its catchment area. We have a friendly working environment. Currently there are three male and two female full time GPs. We also have new examination rooms and have further plans to extend the clinic as the patient numbers have increased by 2.0 times over last 3 years. There is a high number of chronic disease patients and geriatrics patients, who require annual health assessments. We also do pre-employment medicals and Iron infusions. We have three registered Nurses on staff, to co-op with the high workload of care-plans, health assessments, pre-employment medicals, immunizations and Iron infusions. We also have on-site Pathology, Podiatrist, Physiotherapist, Psychologist and Diabetic Educator and there is fully equipped radiology imaging center at a walking distance. The earning potential is attractive with 50% earnings for Pay Points, inclusive of Level 1 and 2 and 55% for Level 3 . For an excellent career move, please apply in writing with a full CV.
