This position is designed for individuals looking to transition into software engineering or return to the field after a career break. As a Consultant Software Engineer, you will integrate high-level software engineering with strategic client advisory, acting as a technical partner to clients and assisting them in transforming their businesses through innovative solutions.

Located in London, Cambridge, or Manchester, this role requires you to be present in the office or at client sites at least three days a week. The starting salary is £45,000, with an average profit share of £2,250 to £3,000. We anticipate intakes in March, June, September, and November of 2027.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a technical partner to clients, helping them transform their businesses through software engineering and AI-driven solutions.
  • Engage directly with customers to identify and solve their significant challenges, making a positive impact on their operations and society.
  • Participate in structured training programs to develop skills necessary for a successful career in digital engineering.
  • Work collaboratively with team members on client projects, providing support and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Advise clients on best practices and solutions based on domain knowledge and project experience.
  • Oversee and refine AI-generated code, focusing on architectural challenges and client value.

Requirements

  • A passion for solving real-world problems and a genuine interest in coding, with any prior experience considered a plus.
  • A consultancy mindset, comfortable working with clients to understand their needs and communicate technical ideas effectively.
  • Strong teamwork skills, with a positive attitude and a willingness to assist colleagues.
  • Exceptional logical analysis and reasoning abilities.
