We are seeking a dedicated Consultant Psychiatrist specializing in Intellectual Disability (ID) within Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) to join our team in North Derbyshire. The successful candidate will be part of a well-established LD CAMHS team, which includes professionals from various disciplines such as psychiatry, clinical psychology, and speech and language therapy. Main Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive psychiatric care for children and adolescents with intellectual disabilities.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Engage in clinical supervision and mentoring of junior staff and trainees.
• Participate in quality improvement projects and audits.
• Work closely with local schools and partner agencies to deliver training and support.

Requirements

• MBChB or equivalent qualification and CCT in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
• MRCPsych or equivalent qualification.
• Full GMC registration with a license to practice and entry on the GMC specialist register or be within six months of obtaining CCT at the time of interview.
• Experience working with young people and their families.
• Skills in clinical supervision and independent patient care.
