- Hands-on application of Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS).
- Analyzing impedance data, including performing equivalent circuit modeling.
- Supporting the development of sensors and optimizing the platform.
- Planning, executing, and presenting experimental results.
- Collaborating with engineering, biology, and data teams.
- Taking on increasing technical ownership with potential for future leadership roles.
Essential Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with EIS for cellular monitoring.
- Proven capability in impedance data analysis and equivalent circuit modeling.
- Electronics-led background within bioelectronics.
- Practical experience in circuit design, PCB development, and prototyping.
- A degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Bioengineering, or a similar field.
- A PhD or a minimum of 3 years’ relevant post-graduate industry or research experience.
- Direct experience with mammalian cell culture is not essential and can be trained.
Desirable Experience
- Development of impedance-based sensors.
- Advanced data analysis or AI applied to sensor or biological data.
- Integration of sensors into bioreactor or experimental systems.
- Prototyping or fabrication experience (CAD, 3D printing, lithography, etc.).
- Equipment sourcing and technical procurement experience.
What’s on Offer
- A salary between £45,000 and £65,000, depending on experience.
- Equity or stock options.
- Private health insurance.
- Clear long-term progression opportunities within a growing technical organization.
- The chance to work on genuinely novel, IP-led technology.
- A collaborative, multidisciplinary working environment.
