Join Citi as a Placement Analyst in the Equity Capital Markets (ECM) team based in London, starting in January 2027. This role offers a unique opportunity to bridge your academic knowledge with practical experience in a dynamic financial environment.

The ECM team collaborates with corporate, private equity, and government clients, providing advisory services for various capital-raising activities such as Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) and Accelerated Equity Offerings (AEOs). As a Placement Analyst, you will receive comprehensive training to equip you with the necessary skills to succeed in the financial sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop pitchbooks and execute ECM mandates while collaborating with M&A, Financing, and Debt Capital Markets teams.
• Manage the transaction process, including compliance checks and committee approvals, while working closely with senior bankers.
• Analyze financial data and understand various financial models, including valuations and cash flow analyses.
• Engage with Citi’s global sales force to understand the investor base and ensure coordinated efforts across the organization.

Qualifications

• Currently in your penultimate year of university.
• Expected to achieve or have achieved a 2:1 (or equivalent) in any degree discipline.
• Available to start in January 2027.
• Strong desire to understand the financial industry and a proactive approach to generating ideas.
• Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical abilities and the capacity to work under tight deadlines.
