Join Capgemini’s Cloud & Custom Applications (C&CA) practice as an AWS Solution Architect, where you will assist clients in shaping and delivering innovative digital solutions. Within the Financial Services Business Unit, you will leverage your architecture leadership, stakeholder engagement, and delivery expertise to create scalable, resilient, and business-aligned solutions. Guided by our vision to Consult with Purpose and Architect Tomorrow, you will serve as a trusted advisor, promote innovation, and help teams achieve measurable outcomes while simplifying technical complexities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the architecture and implementation of intricate business solutions, ensuring they align with client goals and enterprise strategies.
  • Develop high-quality solution designs that effectively translate business requirements into scalable and sustainable outcomes.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, delivery teams, and external partners to ensure successful program execution.
  • Design integration strategies and comprehensive solution approaches that enhance business growth, resilience, and operational efficiency.
  • Promote architectural best practices and governance standards to ensure consistent excellence in delivery across projects.
  • Identify opportunities to minimize technical debt, enhance maintainability, and facilitate future business capabilities.
  • Maximize the reuse of existing services, assets, and data capabilities to speed up delivery and mitigate risks.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to delivery teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
  • Proactively manage delivery risks, dependencies, and issues while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.
  • Advocate for AI-driven methodologies and contribute to the development of a future-ready workforce across teams and client projects.

Must-Have Skills:

  • Extensive experience in solution architecture, technical design, and software delivery within complex enterprise environments.
  • Proven track record of leading architectural decisions from initial concept through to implementation and operational adoption.
  • Experience in designing API-led, integration-focused, and event-driven solutions.
  • Strong technical leadership skills with the ability to guide and influence multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience managing complete project and delivery lifecycles in client-facing roles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering business value.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with practical delivery outcomes.
  • Understanding of modern software engineering principles, architecture patterns, and integration methodologies.
  • Experience in the Insurance sector, particularly in Commercial Insurance or the London Market, is a plus.

Good-to-Have Skills:

  • AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, and DynamoDB.
  • Node.js and TypeScript development experience.
  • Java and Spring Boot development experience.
  • PostgreSQL and data persistence technologies.
  • Apigee or comparable API management platforms.
  • REST API development and management.
  • Python development skills.
  • Agile delivery methodologies, including Scrum.
  • ServiceNow, Confluence, and Jira.
  • AWS, architecture, or cloud-related certifications.
  • Experience supporting enterprise transformation and cloud modernization initiatives.
