Audit Placement – Hull – September 2027 Overview

Join RSM for a 12-month paid audit placement starting on September 14, 2027, in Hull, where you will gain practical experience while working alongside both trainees and seasoned audit professionals. This role is designed for students enrolled in a sandwich degree program, providing an opportunity to engage in real client work and receive on-the-job training, as well as access to internal training courses to enhance your skills throughout the year.

As a member of the audit team, you will play a crucial role in conducting thorough, risk-focused reviews of clients’ financial records, processes, and controls. Your contributions will be vital in ensuring the accuracy of financial statements and building trust among stakeholders. You will quickly become involved in client work, initially collaborating with a larger team before taking on individual project responsibilities. Your client base will be diverse, ranging from owner-managed businesses to large listed groups, charities, pension schemes, and other not-for-profit organizations.

What We’re Looking For

At RSM, we value passion, personality, and originality. To thrive in this role, you should meet the following criteria:

• A minimum of 112 UCAS points from three A levels or an equivalent level 3 qualification.
• Alternatively, 104 UCAS points from four Scottish Highers/Advanced Highers or an Irish Leaving Certificate (higher level).
• Enrollment in a placement degree program.
• Possession of a permanent right to live and work in the UK.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for conveying complex information.
• Ability to analyze and interpret data to solve problems.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for building relationships and remaining calm under pressure.
• A genuine interest in business and commerce, along with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Willingness to travel to client sites and other offices as needed.

Please note that RSM does not accept General Studies, AS levels, or the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ). The start date is mandatory as the training provided from day one is essential for your career development.
