AI Engineering Consultant / Senior Consultant Overview

At Capgemini Invent, we are on the lookout for an AI Engineering Consultant or Senior Consultant who can design, build, and operationalize advanced AI, Machine Learning, and Generative AI systems at an enterprise scale. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between AI prototypes and the integration of data and AI solutions into business operations. You will be responsible for scaling AI solutions in a responsible and reliable manner, ensuring they transition from lab environments to live implementations while creating business value.

Your Role

In this position, you will be engaged in the following key activities:

• Assessing and implementing a robust MLOps framework, governance, and best practices according to industry standards.
• Designing and delivering end-to-end AI/ML systems, encompassing data preparation, model development, deployment, feature stores, and model management.
• Delivering solutions using the latest Generative AI and Agentic Frameworks, such as ADK, Langgraph, Microsoft Agent Framework, and Llamaindex.
• Translating AI use case requirements into effective data and AI architectures utilizing suitable cloud services across major hyperscalars.
• Architecting and implementing Generative AI solutions, including RAG pipelines and orchestration of large language models across Azure, GCP, or AWS.
• Embedding safety, evaluation, and assurance mechanisms throughout the AI lifecycle to ensure ethical, explainable, and responsible solutions.
• Translating business and functional requirements into technical blueprints and guiding multi-disciplinary teams in their execution.
• Collaborating with Product Managers, Data Scientists, and Business stakeholders to ensure AI solutions drive business value and impact.
• Contributing to business development by building client-ready demos, supporting proposals, and showcasing delivery patterns.
• Engaging in internal contributions by developing reusable assets and frameworks, shaping Capgemini’s Data & AI Innovation team, and supporting capability development through community best practices.
• Participating in capability development through thought leadership, blog posts, or internal accelerator development in emerging AI engineering topics.

Your Profile

We are eager to meet candidates who possess:

• Experience in a major consulting firm or industry, with a consulting mindset and proven success in a matrixed organization.
• Experience working with client sponsors, both technical and non-technical, to collaboratively design requirements and build solutions.
• A proven track record in designing and implementing MLOps strategies and frameworks, and delivering AI/ML solutions at scale from concept to production.
• A deep understanding of Generative AI and Agentic AI, including RAG pipelines, embeddings, evaluation harnesses, and orchestration frameworks.
• Experience in designing cloud-native data and AI architectures across Azure, GCP, AWS, and/or Databricks.
• The ability to demonstrate how scaling AI can unlock business value and impact.

Technical Expertise

We value a strong foundation and a good cross-section of skills, along with the adaptability to learn new tools as projects demand. Key technologies include:

• Experience with at least one major cloud platform: Azure (Foundry, AI Studio, OpenAI, AKS), GCP (Vertex AI, Cloud Run), AWS (Bedrock, SageMaker).
• Experience in building and automating AI/ML pipelines using tools such as MLflow, Kubeflow, Azure ML, Vertex Pipelines, Airflow, or Google ADK.
• Hands-on experience with Generative and Agentic AI frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, CrewAI, Autogen, Google ADK, or similar.
• Ability to design and implement RAG pipelines, agentic workflows, and integration with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Hugging Face or similar).
• Proficiency in CI/CD and containerization tools: GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Docker, Kubernetes.

Nice to Haves

Familiarity with evaluating AI system performance, modern data patterns, and general integration patterns is advantageous.
