Windows Phone 7 Developer Tools can now work with Visual Studio 2010 Final Release

Most of the Windows Phone 7 developers might already be aware that the Windows Phone 7 Developer Toolkit CTP worked only with the Visual Studio 2010 Beta/ RC .

The Windows Phone Developer Tools  CTP April Refresh was released yesterday and can be downloaded now.

Now that the recently announced April Refresh that includes an XNA Game Studio 4.0 CTP Refresh too supports the Visual Studio 2010 RTM .

The installer will install the Visual Studio express edition for Windows Phone 7 if there is no tools installed or this will integrate into the existing Visual Studio 2010 installation.

There are some steps to be followed to install the Windows Phone Developer Tools CTP April Refresh and get it work correctly .

We need to unistall the older version of Microsoft Windows Phone Developer Tools CTP – ENU and SIlverlight 4 SDK, if it is installed in the machine.

Install the version of Visual Studio 2010 ( Express / Professional ) before installing the Windows Phone Developer Tools (WPDT) CTP April Refresh.
