VP Industrial Operations Engineer Overview

The role of Industrial Sparring Partner (ISP) is a senior position that requires extensive experience and credibility in industrial operations, particularly within the Defense sector. The ISP acts as a strategic partner for clients, especially plant managers and COOs, by fostering close relationships with operational teams at production sites. The primary objective is to support and expedite the industrial ramp-up of client operations, collaborating with various business lines to achieve this goal.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as an operational sparring partner for industrial leadership, providing on-site support 2 to 4 days a week and assisting with industrial decision-making while sharing key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Manage the delivery orchestration through end-to-end oversight of multi-expertise frameworks, including risk management, arbitration, and performance evaluation.
• Identify business acceleration opportunities, assist in deal shaping, and structure proposals focused on achieving results.
• Contribute to the growth of the Defense platform by leveraging knowledge, developing assets, and enhancing the industrial ecosystem.
• Facilitate cross-selling of the Group’s industrial offerings across various business lines.
• Supervise and expand all industrial services from multiple business lines for designated accounts, focusing on production development, supply chain management, quality and compliance, workforce management, technology, data, and AI.
• Collaborate with the Global Client Partner (GCP) to define strategies and support executive-level engagements, ensuring commitments are validated and trust is established with clients.

Qualifications

• Possess over 15 years of significant industrial experience in complex environments, preferably within the Defense, Aeronautics, Automotive, or Advanced Manufacturing sectors.
• Demonstrate operational experience in leading or transforming an industrial site, such as a Plant Manager or COO, with a focus on reducing overall cycle times and optimizing industrial organizations.
• Exhibit broad functional expertise in industrial strategy, reorganization, Lean/6 Sigma methodologies, continuous improvement, and logistics management.
• Show proven capability in ramping up operations in critical contexts, including launching new production lines or products and managing industrial crises.
• Have experience in industrial digitalization and familiarity with Industry 4.0 technologies, including MES, IoT, data analytics, AI, and automation.
• Possess strong credibility and account knowledge, having developed close relationships with CXOs and senior management within client organizations.
• Demonstrate the ability to deliver strategic visions and transformation roadmaps while effectively communicating and navigating complex client environments.
