Join our team as a Theatre Practitioner in Accrington, where you will play a vital role in delivering patient-centered care across the ophthalmic pathway. This full-time position requires a commitment of 37.5 hours per week, typically over four days, including some weekends. Standard shifts are from 07:30 to 17:30, with some flexibility based on patient needs.
As a Theatre Practitioner, you will be responsible for scrubbing and assisting in a high-volume theatre environment, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure efficient theatre operations. Your role will include establishing a compassionate environment for patients, assisting surgeons in delivering ophthalmic care, preparing clinical areas, managing patient admissions and discharges, and participating in departmental audits.
To succeed in this position, you must be a registered practitioner with the NMC or HCPC, ideally with previous experience in a clinical or theatre setting. A desire to develop your clinical skills through ongoing training and a passion for delivering excellent patient care are essential. You should also be able to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment and have knowledge of infection prevention protocols and clinical governance frameworks.
