This is a permanent full-time remote opportunity for candidates based in the UK. As a Solutions Director at Nearform, you will be responsible for crafting and positioning solutions that help enterprise clients unlock value. We seek a strategic, entrepreneurial leader who excels at the intersection of business, technology, and AI innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and position solutions that enable enterprise clients to realize value through AI innovation.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Delivery teams to enhance client partnerships.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on AI, software, cloud, and data technologies, identifying client challenges and creating tailored solutions.
• Lead discovery and pre-sales engagements, including crafting proposals, RFP responses, and pitches that effectively communicate AI and technology capabilities.
• Create proof-of-concepts and reference architectures demonstrating Nearform’s ability to deliver impactful results.
• Translate client goals into actionable solution roadmaps, collaborating with experts in software, data, AI, design, and engineering.
• Support early-stage project delivery to ensure a smooth transition from pre-sales to execution.
• Work with teams to develop case studies and success stories that highlight the transformative impact of AI solutions.
• Contribute to the growth of the AI practice by driving innovation and sharing best practices across teams.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 12 years of experience in software engineering and technical leadership, preferably in consulting, pre-sales, or account development within technology or digital services.
• Hands-on experience with solution architecture, software architecture, cloud platforms, and AI-native software engineering practices.
• Ability to conduct effective workshops to explore potential use cases and align stakeholders on optimal solutions.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python or JavaScript.
• Experience with Generative AI technologies and practical application of foundation models to enhance efficiencies.
• Strong understanding of AI, data pipelines, and cloud ecosystems like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Capability to explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Proven success in engaging with executive-level clients (VP/C-level) and leading pre-sales and solution design discussions.
• A track record of successfully shaping and closing deals with sales teams.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills to articulate outcome-based business value.
• Ability to collaborate across various departments to create tailored proposals and solutions.
