Join us for a 12-week summer internship in Software Engineering at G-Research, where you will engage with our world-class technology teams. This role is designed for exceptional students who are eager to tackle complex challenges in quantitative finance through innovative engineering solutions.

As an intern, you will be involved in the development, enhancement, and modernization of systems that are crucial to our operations. This hands-on position will allow you to write production-level code, collaborate with seasoned software engineers, and contribute to impactful projects from the outset.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver high-quality, maintainable code to manage large and complex datasets.
• Support and evolve production platforms and research tools.
• Partner with quantitative researchers to enhance data quality and value.
• Develop and optimize database queries and the underlying infrastructure.
• Enhance internal tools and data processing pipelines for large-scale applications.

Who We Are Looking For

We seek sharp, curious, and pragmatic software engineers who are passionate about the intersection of finance and technology. The ideal candidate will possess:

• A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, targeting a 2:1 or above.
• Graduation expected in 2028 and currently in the penultimate year.
• Experience with at least one object-oriented programming language (C#, Java, or C++).
• A strong understanding of core computer science concepts, including algorithms, data structures, and systems architecture.
• An interest in how engineering supports quantitative research and complex systems.
• A structured and analytical approach to problem-solving.
• A proactive mindset for improving code and systems.
• Clear communication skills for engaging with both technical and non-technical teams.
• A collaborative attitude, willing to share ideas and feedback.
