What You’ll Be Doing  

On our Data Science internship, you’ll work with stakeholders across the business to turn data into insight and action. You’ll learn analytical techniques, apply predictive algorithms, and help deliver meaningful solutions — from building new data products to forecasting customer behaviour or unlocking the value of our content.

You’ll join one of our specialist teams in Sky Data:

• Consumer – Help protect and grow our customer base by enabling smarter decisions and personalised experiences.
• Content – Optimise how we produce, promote, and position content using viewing data.
• Product & Operations – Improve internal systems and streamline processes to maximise value and performance.

What We’re Looking For  

You’re in your penultimate year of an undergraduate degree in any subject. You might be studying maths, statistics, computer science, economics, or physics — or you may have shown your passion for data through personal or university projects. We’re looking for curiosity, drive, and ambition.

Skills that will help you thrive:

• Logical, end-to-end thinking
• Strong problem-solving, presentation, and IT skills
• Experience with Python, SQL, R, SAS, or MATLAB
• Understanding of machine learning (e.g. regression, decision trees, boosting)
• Enjoy fast-paced, task-focused environments
• Collaborative and curious about market trends

Step 2 – Complete our online assessments 

These assess your Sky fit, business fit, and coding ability. Visit our Preparation Hub to get familiar with the format and practice beforehand. The coding test includes basic SQL/Python — feel free to use resources during the test.

Step 3 – Attend our virtual assessment centre 

You’ll take part in tasks designed to give you insight into the role and assess your potential. We’ll let you know when to expect feedback after the day.
