We are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join our London team in a hybrid capacity.

As part of the Developer Platform group, you will work on core systems, tools, and environments that empower engineers to deliver high-quality capabilities swiftly and confidently. Your role will involve enhancing the developer experience for our primary monorepo, maintaining the Bazel-based build ecosystem, evolving development environments, and managing IDEs and tooling.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a Project Owner, translating customer needs into well-defined sub-problems for the team.
• Set high standards for craftsmanship, reliability, and scalability, leading by example.
• Make informed decisions regarding long-term and short-term trade-offs in design.
• Manage project ambiguities effectively while taking ownership of team responsibilities.
• Identify gaps in processes and provide actionable recommendations to cross-functional partners.
• Serve as a mentor and role model within the team, fostering an empathetic and supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Strong background in software engineering, particularly with Go and/or Python.
• Extensive experience with infrastructure tools, especially Terraform.
• Proficient in managing AWS cloud environments.
• Demonstrated capability to influence the direction of technical domains within the platform space, such as Container Orchestration, Kafka, Build Systems, and Observability.
• Experience in developing AI-assisted developer tools or integrating LLM-backed technologies is a plus.
