Senior Corporate Security Engineer Overview

As a Senior Corporate Security Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding Deliveroo’s internal networks, identities, endpoints, and corporate systems. You will work globally with security teams across the US, EU, and APAC to reduce risks and enhance security controls. This position offers a high degree of autonomy, allowing you to define technical direction and make architectural decisions while delivering complex security initiatives.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading the design and implementation of security controls, focusing on Identity and Access Management (IAM), Endpoint security, Network Security, logging and detection engineering, and secure SaaS enablement.
• Collaborating with IT, Legal, Privacy, Engineering, and business stakeholders to integrate security as a standard practice across the organization.
• Aligning security controls with recognized frameworks such as the CIS Critical Security Controls and the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
• Designing, deploying, and maintaining core corporate security controls, including phishing-resistant MFA and zero-trust architectures.
• Serving as the technical owner for corporate security systems, managing deployments and configurations.
• Leading the technical strategy for Endpoint Device trust, Data Loss Prevention, and SaaS application security.
• Automating security workflows and incident response tasks through scripting and tool development.
• Mentoring junior and mid-level engineers and communicating technical concepts to non-technical staff.

To qualify for this role, you should possess:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Security Engineering, Corporate Security, Detection & Response, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with IAM platforms such as Okta and Google Workspace, along with extensive experience with Google Workspace products and cloud platforms like AWS and GCP.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and experience implementing modern authentication standards.
• Proficiency in securing macOS, Windows, and Linux endpoints using MDM and EDR/XDR tools.
• Experience with SIEM and/or SOAR platforms and tuning detection logic.
• Knowledge of vulnerability management and patch governance.
• Ability to write production-quality automation scripts and lead cross-functional technical initiatives.
