The Mapping team is responsible for the spatial intelligence of our platform, focusing on road matching, low-latency ETA predictions, and processing thousands of coordinates every second to ensure accurate journey tracking. We are seeking a Mid/Senior Backend Engineer to join our team, which emphasizes clean, maintainable code and rapid deployment through TDD, DDD, and continuous integration and delivery. Our technology stack includes Go, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, RabbitMQ, Redis, gRPC, and Thrift, all running on AWS and Kubernetes, managed via Terraform.
Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality and efficient code primarily using Go.
- Create new microservices while assisting in the management and migration from legacy systems.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and data scientists to translate abstract requirements into detailed technical designs.
- Ensure system responsiveness under heavy loads by optimizing for both latency and reliability.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in building and maintaining scalable backend services; 5+ years required for senior positions.
- Proficiency in Go is preferred, but candidates can be interviewed in their strongest programming language (such as Python, C++, Java, or Ruby).
- Strong understanding of relational and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis, along with experience using message brokers like RabbitMQ or Kafka.
- At least 1 year of practical experience with mapping-related tasks, including processing geospatial data, map-matching techniques, or road network graphs and routing algorithms.
