Senior AI Platform Engineer Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the foundational platform that supports AI products tailored for the banking and insurance industries. Your work will involve overseeing various platform components, ensuring they are reliable, efficient, and user-friendly.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the foundational platform that supports AI products for banking and insurance sectors.
• Oversee one or more platform components from inception to completion, including the model gateway, agent runtime, evaluation infrastructure, and shared services.
• Manage the training and adaptation loop, creating pipelines that transform production data into datasets for reinforcement learning and fine-tuning.
• Ensure the reliability, latency, and cost-effectiveness of the platform services you build.
• Create self-service interfaces for product engineers, ensuring your components are well-documented and user-friendly.
• Collaborate with product teams to develop new shared services, transitioning them to platform services once proven effective.

Requirements

• Proven experience in production engineering, particularly with Python and at least one systems programming language such as Go or Rust.
• Hands-on experience with large language model (LLM) infrastructure, including model serving and vector retrieval systems.
• Familiarity with agent-systems frameworks and the Model Context Protocol (MCP).
• Experience in evaluation engineering, including the development of evaluation harnesses and regression testing.
• Demonstrated ability to fine-tune or post-train models, with a solid understanding of the data pipelines involved.
