The Palantir Design Team focuses on enhancing the user experience of their software products. Core Responsibilities

• Participate in product teams with minimal supervision, taking ownership of the end-to-end execution of real product features.
• Engage in interaction and visual design, contributing to every stage of the design process from early concept definition to high-level workflows and micro-interactions.
• Conduct user research, including informal interviews and usability tests, to gather insights and inform design decisions.
• Collaborate closely with engineers and product managers to prototype and build products, ensuring effective communication of design ideas.
• Maintain awareness of software interface construction, with a basic understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript to facilitate collaboration with technical teams.

Requirements

• Candidates must be planning to graduate in 2028, making this their final internship before graduation.
• A portfolio showcasing at least one software interface design project is required; if any parts are password-protected, the password should be included in the application.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills are essential for building relationships with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders.
• Demonstrated empathy and dedication to understanding and empowering users is crucial.
• An iterative design process mindset, with the ability to validate ideas early and adapt based on feedback, is necessary.
• A passion for solving complex problems and designing for technically intricate and data-rich interfaces is important.
• Willingness to learn independently and make decisions while knowing when to seek assistance is expected.
