In this role, you will be instrumental in developing the foundational platform that supports our AI products tailored for the banking and insurance sectors. You will work within a small, senior team focused on creating software solutions that enhance operations in insurance claims, payment processing, and health management.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the foundational platform that supports AI products for banking and insurance sectors.
- Oversee one or more platform components from inception to completion, including model gateways, agent runtime, and evaluation infrastructure.
- Manage the training and adaptation loop, creating pipelines that convert production data into datasets for reinforcement learning and fine-tuning.
- Ensure reliability, latency, and cost-effectiveness of the platform services you build.
- Create self-service interfaces for product engineers, ensuring comprehensive documentation and user-friendly defaults.
- Collaborate with product teams to develop new shared services, transitioning them to platform services once proven effective.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in production engineering, specifically with Python and at least one systems programming language such as Go or Rust.
- Hands-on familiarity with large language model (LLM) infrastructure, including model serving and vector systems.
- Experience with agent orchestration frameworks and understanding of tool calling and the Model Context Protocol (MCP).
- Background in evaluation engineering, having built or operated evaluation harnesses and regression gates.
- Demonstrated ability in post-training processes, including fine-tuning models and developing associated data pipelines.
- Daily engagement with AI coding assistants as part of your development workflow.
