Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CyberSecurity Professional to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in information security, network engineering, and incident response. This role involves protecting our organisation’s digital assets by implementing robust security measures, monitoring network traffic, and responding to security incidents. You will work closely with various teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement security policies, protocols, and procedures in line with NIST standards and ISO 27002.
  • Monitor network traffic for suspicious activity using SIEM tools and IDS systems.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential threats.
  • Manage firewalls (Cisco ASA) and VPN configurations to secure remote access.
  • Oversee the implementation of encryption technologies for data protection.
  • Ensure high availability and disaster recovery plans are in place for critical systems.
  • Collaborate with IT teams on cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and infrastructure management.
  • Provide network support and troubleshooting for LAN/WAN environments.
  • Maintain system administration tasks across various operating systems including Debian, CentOS, Ubuntu, Windows, macOS, and Linux distributions.
  • Engage in incident management processes to effectively respond to security breaches.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in cybersecurity or related fields with a strong understanding of computer networking concepts.
  • Familiarity with routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and network protocols.
  • Knowledge of authentication methods including SSO and LDAP; experience with PKI is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash (Unix shell) for automation tasks.
  • Experience with virtualisation technologies (VMware, Citrix) and cloud computing platforms (PaaS, IaaS).
  • Understanding of network infrastructure components including Ethernet, IP networking, SAN, and load balancing techniques.
  • Ability to work with tools such as New Relic, Splunk, SolarWinds, PRTG for monitoring and management purposes.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess risks and implement appropriate security measures.
