Anaplan is seeking a Machine Learning Operations (ML Ops) Lead to join their team in London, United Kingdom. This role is pivotal in optimizing business decision-making through advanced AI-infused scenario planning and analysis. The successful candidate will lead a talented team of DevOps engineers while remaining hands-on and deeply technical.

Role Overview

The ML Ops Lead will be responsible for spearheading infrastructure, cost-optimization, and deployment strategies for machine learning and generative AI models. Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and mentoring a dedicated DevOps team while collaborating with Data Science and Engineering leaders.
• Defining the infrastructure roadmap for AI/ML workloads and automating provisioning across cloud environments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Architecting and maintaining robust MLOps/LLMOps pipelines and CI/CD frameworks for continuous model deployment.
• Deploying Large Language Models (LLMs) into production environments, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
• Establishing financial operations frameworks to manage AI infrastructure spending effectively.
• Implementing resource efficiency measures to minimize waste and enhance visibility into unit economics.
• Setting up 24/7 incident response and observability metrics to monitor system performance and data pipelines.
• Enforcing strict data governance and compliance protocols across AI/ML infrastructure.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• Extensive experience in deploying and supporting ML systems in production.
• A proven track record of leading engineering teams.
• Demonstrated experience with Generative AI and LLM deployment patterns.
• Experience in reducing cloud costs for large-scale AI clusters.
• Familiarity with tools like MLflow, Kubeflow, LangSmith, or Phoenix.
• Expertise in AWS/GCP/Azure cost management tools.
• Strong background in Kubernetes, Docker, and service meshes.
• Proficiency in Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
• Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.
• Familiarity with Triton Inference Server, vLLM, or Hugging Face TGI.
