An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Expert to join an international client in Northamptonshire, England. This role involves maintaining, supporting, and enhancing the MES at the manufacturing site, ensuring system reliability, driving process improvements, and leading future MES development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary technical authority for the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) platform at the manufacturing site.
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot the MES to ensure optimal system availability.
- Integrate the MES with ERP and other manufacturing systems to enhance operational efficiency.
- Maintain disaster recovery protocols and assist with system upgrades.
- Enhance manufacturing processes through MES improvements, automation, and ensuring data integrity.
- Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs), documentation, and best practices for MES usage.
- Provide training to users and offer ongoing technical support.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, change control processes, and audit requirements.
- Evaluate new MES technologies and contribute to the planning and implementation of future system architecture.
Requirements
- Experience in semiconductor manufacturing is essential.
- Proven experience in MES implementation, configuration, and support, particularly with platforms like PROMIS, Siemens Opcenter, or Camstar.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and production workflows.
- Familiarity with scripting and automation, such as DCL.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience.
