As a Sustainability Consultant, you will assist clients in understanding and addressing the impacts of climate change on various aspects of their business.
Your Role
In this position, you will:
- Lead client engagements to implement sustainability strategies and frameworks, identifying opportunities to create value.
- Assess clients’ exposure to climate-related risks and enhance their business continuity and operational resilience.
- Integrate climate resilience into transformation programs to achieve measurable business and sustainability outcomes.
- Act as a leader within the sustainability community, introducing innovative ideas and approaches to the team.
- Promote the value of sustainability to clients and train teams, account executives, and leaders on climate resilience and adaptation.
- Contribute to business development through proposals, RFPs, and client pitches, as well as hosting clients at events.
- Engage in internal initiatives such as campaign development, think-tanks, and practice development activities.
- Participate in learning and development opportunities to enhance personal career growth and meet skill demands.
Your Profile
The ideal candidate will possess:
- An educational background in Climate Science or related fields.
- Experience in sustainability, climate risk, resilience, ESG, enterprise risk, or operational resilience consulting.
- An understanding of climate adaptation and physical climate risks.
- Familiarity with climate risk and resilience across various sectors, including Energy and Financial Services.
- Proven experience in managing complex consulting projects and stakeholder relationships.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
- The ability to manage projects and understand the financial aspects of client delivery.
- Optional: A passion for sustainability and effective communication skills regarding its importance.
- Experience with climate risk modeling, resilience planning, or adaptation programs.
- Knowledge of business continuity, operational resilience, cybersecurity, or disaster recovery.
- Familiarity with climate-related reporting frameworks such as TCFD and ISSB.
- Experience in sectors like government, financial services, utilities, or healthcare.
- An understanding of Sustainable IT, GreenOps, FinOps, or Sustainable AI principles.
