Responsibilities
- Develop machine learning use cases from inception, ensuring they deliver tangible business value while navigating the complexities of modern marketing.
- Manage the complete machine learning pipeline, transforming raw customer data into actionable insights that enhance user experiences for millions.
- Provide ongoing technical support to clients, ensuring the effective performance of data science initiatives and their successful implementation.
- Enhance product functionalities by creating features and tools that benefit the broader AI deployment team and expand engagement capabilities.
- Collaborate with the Braze Product team to refine reinforcement learning algorithms, advancing the platform’s self-learning capabilities.
- Contribute to the BrazeAI product strategy and roadmap by integrating customer insights and technical expertise.
Who You Are
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field is required; a Master’s or PhD in a relevant technical area is preferred.
- 3 to 5+ years of practical experience in roles such as Data Scientist or Machine Learning Engineer, particularly in large-scale data and production settings.
- Experience in customer-facing roles or consulting is highly desirable.
- Strong proficiency in Python, particularly with libraries like Pandas, TensorFlow, Keras, scikit-learn, CatBoost, and XGBoost.
- Skilled in SQL for data querying and manipulation, with a solid understanding of machine learning pipelines and model deployment.
- Ability to write clean, modular, and well-documented code while adhering to best engineering practices including Git, CI/CD, and testing frameworks.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Airflow, Kubernetes, Terraform, and GCP is a plus.
- Comfortable collaborating with clients and cross-functional teams, translating technical concepts into business value.
- A proactive problem-solver who can identify risks and opportunities early and drive innovative solutions.
- A continuous learner who stays updated with industry trends and new technologies.
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey complex technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
