Consultant/Senior Consultant – Cloud Economics/FinOps Overview

As a FinOps Consultant at Capgemini Invent, you will play a vital role in optimizing cloud costs and enhancing financial accountability within organizations. Your work will involve understanding how AI-enabled workloads influence cloud consumption patterns and financial governance.

Your Responsibilities

• Analyze cloud usage patterns to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Guide cloud users on optimizing their usage and establish budget-aligned policies for financial accountability.
• Implement automated solutions for continuous cost monitoring and optimization.
• Prepare detailed financial reports, including forecasting and variance analysis, and present these to senior management.
• Establish and enforce comprehensive cloud governance policies and best practices to ensure compliance and cost control.
• Provide training on FinOps best practices and promote a culture of cost awareness within the organization.
• Engage with cloud vendors to manage relationships and ensure optimal service delivery and cost efficiency.
• Maintain awareness of AI’s impact on FinOps, including the cost and governance implications of AI-driven workloads.

Your Profile

• Hands-on experience in FinOps and cloud advisory roles.
• Experience in setting up Cloud FinOps Centers of Excellence and governance models for organizations.
• Comfortable in client-facing roles, with prior consulting or advisory experience preferred.
• Proven ability to work successfully in a matrixed organization and enlist support from peers.
• Experience with cloud vendors such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Familiarity with FinOps tools like Cloudability, CloudCheckr, or CloudHealth.
• Good understanding of cloud cost optimization techniques across various services.
• FinOps certification is desirable, with support for obtaining certification provided by Capgemini.
