An exciting opportunity has emerged for a C++ Software Engineer with a leading Fortune 100 organization in the field of Electronic Design Automation (EDA), located in Newcastle. This position offers the chance to engage in the development and maintenance of the C++ codebase, while also contributing to the build and regression systems that test the software.
The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing new features and enhancing the software’s performance, stability, capacity, and overall capability. This role requires a commitment to an onsite working model, with the expectation of being present at the office five days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the C++ codebase for the organization.
- Work on the build and regression system to ensure code quality through testing.
- Implement new features to enhance the software’s functionality.
- Increase the performance, stability, capacity, and capability of the software.
Requirements:
- Possess a PhD in a STEM subject or an MSc in a STEM subject along with 4 years of relevant industry experience.
- Achieve a Grade A* – B in A-level Mathematics.
- Demonstrate strong experience in C++ development.
- Familiarity with Qt is preferred but not mandatory.
