Join Citi as a Placement Analyst in the Equity Capital Markets (ECM) team in London starting January 2027. This role offers a unique opportunity to transition your academic knowledge into practical experience within a dynamic financial environment.

The ECM team collaborates with corporate, private equity, and government clients to provide advisory services on various capital-raising activities, including Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) and Rights Issues. As a Placement Analyst, you will receive comprehensive training to develop the skills necessary to assist companies and governments in innovative capital-raising strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in creating pitchbooks and executing ECM mandates, working closely with M&A, Financing, and Debt Capital Markets teams.
• Manage the transaction process, including compliance checks and committee approvals.
• Collaborate with senior bankers on transaction terms.
• Analyze financial data and understand financial models, including valuations and cash flow analyses.
• Engage with Citi’s global sales force to understand the investor base.
• Coordinate activities across Citi’s global network.

Requirements

• Currently in your penultimate year of university.
• Expected to achieve or have achieved a 2:1 (or equivalent) in any degree discipline.
• Available to start in January 2027.
• Desire to understand the financial industry deeply.
• Intellectual curiosity and a proactive approach to generating ideas.
• Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills.
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to relate information to client needs.
