Audit Placement – Leeds – September 2027 Overview

Join RSM for an exciting opportunity to kickstart your career in audit with a 12-month paid placement starting on 14 September 2027. As part of your sandwich degree, you will gain practical experience while working alongside both current trainees and seasoned audit professionals.

In this role, you will be involved in real client work, receiving on-the-job training and access to internal training courses that will aid your development throughout the year. Your performance may lead to a position in one of our graduate training programs upon completion of your degree.

Key Responsibilities

• Become a vital member of the audit team from day one, engaging in client work rapidly.
• Conduct thorough, risk-focused reviews of clients’ financial records, processes, and controls.
• Work with a variety of clients, including owner-managed businesses, large listed groups, charities, pension schemes, and not-for-profit organizations.

Requirements

• Minimum of 112 UCAS points from three A levels (or equivalent level 3 qualification), or 104 UCAS points from four Scottish Highers/Advanced Highers or an Irish Leaving Certificate (higher level).
• Must be enrolled in a placement degree program.
• Possess a permanent right to live and work in the UK.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills to convey complex information clearly.
• Ability to analyze and interpret data to solve problems.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and remain calm under pressure.
• Genuine interest in business and commerce, along with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Willingness to travel to client sites and other offices as required.
