The Analytics Graduate Programme is designed for recent graduates who are eager to kickstart their careers in the dynamic field of energy commodities trading. Based in our fast-paced London office, this program offers structured professional development alongside hands-on experience, allowing successful candidates to engage directly with commercial teams from day one.

Your Role

As a graduate analyst, you will be part of a team that provides data-driven insights to traders, influencing their commercial strategies. Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting pre-trade and post-trade analysis using appropriate techniques.
• Modeling supply and demand balances and trade flows for traded products.
• Tracking global oil movements and assessing their impact on pricing.
• Collaborating with traders to develop forecasting models.
• Analyzing market data to identify anomalies that could lead to trading opportunities.
• Communicating results effectively to traders and senior management.
• Using initiative to generate additional value through commercial innovation.

Who We Look For

We seek recent graduates with a strong academic background and a passion for the commodities sector. Ideal candidates will possess:

• A Bachelor’s degree at a 2.1 standard or above in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• A demonstrated interest in the commodities sector, particularly in Energy or Oil.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience in quantitative data analysis.
• Desirable coding skills in VBA, Python, or SQL.
• An entrepreneurial mindset and adaptability.
• Excellent communication skills.
• The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong relationship-building skills.
