As a Summer Intern, you will engage in real work while gaining practical experience in a global business environment that merges deep industry knowledge with entrepreneurial thinking. You will collaborate with professionals from various backgrounds, including geologists, meteorologists, engineers, data scientists, quant strategists, traders, and advisers, to enhance your technical skills, confidence, and professional network.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting your team on real work while gaining practical experience in a global business.
  • Assisting in providing tailored solutions to clients across commodities, financial markets, and asset finance.
  • Analyzing market, client, risk, or regulatory data as part of your role.
  • Developing quantitative methods, models, tools, or platforms.
  • Translating complex financial or technical concepts into clear explanations.
  • Investigating issues, identifying root causes, and supporting remediation efforts.

The nine-week internship program will commence with a tailored induction week designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge necessary for success. Throughout the program, you will:

  • Gain insight into the financial services industry and build technical skills.
  • Work closely with your team to gain valuable experience in your chosen business area.
  • Collaborate with business leaders and engage in live projects from day one.
  • Receive on-the-job experience and hands-on training to prepare for your future career.

We welcome applications from students in their penultimate year of study for an undergraduate or master’s degree, or those in their final year of an undergraduate degree planning to continue to a master’s degree, graduating between January and July 2028. Ideal candidates will be studying disciplines such as mathematics, physics, computer science, engineering, economics, finance, or other quantitative fields.

Successful applicants will demonstrate strong numerical skills, the ability to communicate complex information clearly, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving. A proactive and positive attitude, along with a strong work ethic, is essential. Attention to detail and comfort with data and analytical tools are also important. For some quantitative roles, experience with Python is necessary, and familiarity with AI tools, data analysis, or automation may be beneficial.
