- Â Select the Protect Workbook box and choose Encrypt with Password.
- Enter a password in the Password box, and then select OK.
- Confirm the password in the Reenter Password box, and then select OK.

Choosing File > Info. Choose Encrypt with Password in the Protect Workbook box. In the Password box, type a password, and then click OK. In the Reenter Password box, confirm the password, and then click OK.
