You use a motion path to move something in a very specific way on a slide. You can also combine motion paths with other effects. Apply a motion path. Click the thing to which you want to add a motion path. The center of the object or text follows the motion path that you apply.

Create a motion path for an object.
Select the object to animate by clicking it.
Click Add Animation on the Animations tab.
Scroll down and select one of the Motion Paths. Tip: If you select Custom path, you will sketch the path that the item should take. Press Esc to stop drawing a custom path.
