I want to use conditional formatting in Excel to highlight certain cells based on specific criteria. What are the steps to use conditional formatting in Excel?
- Select the cells you want to apply conditional formatting to.
 - Click the first cell in the range, and then drag to the last cell
 
The steps to use conditional formatting in Excel
1. Choose the range of cells, tables, or entire sheets to which you want to apply conditional formatting.
2. Select Conditional Formatting from the Home tab.
3. Select Highlight Cells Rules and then Text that Contains.
4. Enter the text you want to highlight, then click OK.
Select the cells you want to apply conditional formatting. click on home tab on the ribbon and click on conditional formatting in the styles group. choose the type of format you want to apply from the dropdown menu and also elect the formatting rule that you want to apply from the second drop down menu. configure the formatting option for the selected rule. Then click ok to apply the formatting rule to the selected cells.
- Select the range of cells, the table, or the whole sheet that you want to apply conditional formatting in the excel.
 - On the Home tab, click Conditional Formatting.
 - Then click New Rule.
 - And select a style,for example, 3-Color Scale, select the conditions that you want, and then click OK.
