I need to merge cells in my Excel worksheet to create a larger cell or to center text across multiple cells. What is the process for merging cells in Excel?

The process for merging cells in Excel as follows
1. Click the first cell in the range you want to merge, then Shift-click the last cell. Important: Only one of the cells in the range should have data.
2. Go to Home > Merge and Centre.

Click the first cell and press shift while you click the last cell in the range you want to merge important make sure only one of the cells in the range has data
Click home>merge & centre
