I need to insert a text box with an arrow pointing to a specific part of my Word document. How can I do this?

Click Insert” tab>illustrations>shapes>callouts choose the style of arrow. click and drag on the document.

select the shape you like and then write the text on it and then in a new page paste the shape along with the text
