I want to protect certain cells in my Excel worksheet from being edited by others. What is the process for protecting cells in Excel?

On the worksheet, select just the cells that you want to lock and Bring up the Format Cells popup window again, short key: (Ctrl+Shift+F). Then on the Protection tab, check the Locked box and then click OK.

Go to the Protection tab and unclick the Locked option and click Ok. Now select only the cells or rows that you want to protect. Right-click and choose Format cells again. Go to the protection tab and check the Locked option and then click Ok.
