1. Select a cell or a cell range.
2. On the Home tab, select Number from the drop-down. Or, you can choose one of these options: “Press CTRL + 1 and select Number”. Right-click the cell or cell range, select Format Cells

Select the cell that you want to format. Right click on the selection and click on format cells. select the number tab from the format cells. set the desired formatting options and preview it and click ok.

Right-click any cell and select Format Cell. On the Number format tab, select the formatting you need. Select Custom from the Category list on the left of the Number Format dialog box.
