I want to add a footer or header to my Excel worksheet for page numbering or other information. What is the process for adding a footer or header in Excel?
- On the Insert tab, in the Text group, click Header & Footer.
- Excel displays the worksheet in Page Layout view.
Click Header & Footer in the Text group on the Insert tab. In the Page Layout view, Excel displays the worksheet. Click the left, center, or right header or footer text box at the top or bottom of the worksheet page (under Header, or above the Footer) to create or update a header or footer. Fill in the blanks with the new header or footer text.
Click insert tab on the ribbon. click header or footer button where which you want to insert then select the desired header of footer style from drop down menu. The cursor will move to header or footer section and now you can enter text, number, or any other content. Once you are done editing you can click on close header and footer button to exit.
Go to Insert > Header or Footer and Choose from a list of headers or footers, go to the list of Header or Footer options, and select the header or footer that you want and When you’re done, select Close Header and Footer.
