The AGGREGATE function is intended for data columns or vertical ranges. It is not intended for data rows or horizontal ranges. For example, when you use option 1 to subtotal a horizontal range, such as AGGREGATE(1, 1, ref1), concealing a column has no effect on the aggregate sum value.
